Mission Partners

We believe in supporting and resourcing gospel initiatives across the globe. St James has a long tradition of supporting overseas and Australia mission partnerships.

  • Dave and Ruth Bryce with Abby & Josh (Interserve, Cambodia)

    Dave oversees the work of ‘Justees’, a Christian outreach and training program focused on young people caught up in the world of drug addiction.
    Ruth is part of a team developing the first ‘Speech Therapy’ university degree course in the country.

  • Lauren Raiter (CMS, Spain)

    Lauren arrived in Madrid, Spain, in early 2024 and her role is to train local Christians to teach the Spanish discipleship course, MOCLAM.
    Lauren is also involved in supporting her local church and developing friendships and networks so that people can know Jesus.

  • Philip and Guinevere Swan (Wycliffe Bible Translators, Indonesia & Australia)

    After ten years based in Indonesia, Philip and Guinevere are now working from Melbourne. Guinevere continues as an advisor for the Papuan Malay translation team, and also serves as a translation consultant to other language teams in Indonesia.

    Philip continues to support the Nimboran and Kemtuik translation teams remotely, and is drawing on his field experience and love of teaching to train future Bible translation, literacy and Scripture engagement specialists as a member of staff at SIL Australia. He is also a translation consultant-in-training.
