Mike came to Melbourne in 2012. Originally from the UK, but with an Australian father, Mike came to Victoria with his Kiwi wife, Jo and their two children, to continue his ministry here.

Mike became a Christian as a teenager on a Scripture Union camp and was ordained in 1985. He has served in various parish ministry contexts in different parts of the UK, and as a mission partner in Tanzania, East Africa. He was formerly at St Alfred’s Blackburn North for 10 years. Mike regards serving in gospel ministry as the greatest of privileges. He started at St James in February 2023.

To relax, Mike enjoys time with the family, walks in the bush, sport, current affairs and the arts.

Associate Minister – Chinese Ministry

Jessica was born in Hong Kong and she migrated to Australia 25 years ago. Jessica is married to Rick with two adult sons Dietrich and Calvin. Over the years Jessica has been working with Chinese migrants and international students. Jessica is a priest and she works in parishes, universities and grammar schools. She speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Please feel free to contact her for any referral, concerns or issues in Christian faith.

Kids and Youth Coordinator

Georgia was a member of St James for a number of years before taking on the role of Childrens and Youth Minister in 2022. She has a background in Education and is currently undertaking studies at Ridley College completing a Masters of Divinity. She is very passionate about ministering to young people and is eager to partner with anyone who shares this passion. Georgia primarily works Fridays and Sundays.

Office Manager

Carol has been our Office Manager for over 5 years. She is married to Nabil and has two daughters. You can contact Carol for any of your administrative needs.
