Services

At each of our services we seek to preach and teach the Bible faithfully, applying the scriptures to real life in the 21st Century. Our general custom is for expository preaching, allowing the themes and teaching of the various books of the Bible to unfold before us.

The services bring wonderful opportunities for people to serve in a variety of ways; for people of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds to gather together; for visitors to be welcomed; for ‘seekers’ to explore the Christian faith in a safe and friendly environment, and for church members to be encouraged, equipped and built up as they enter a new week.

Life Groups

Life Groups are a blend of bible-study, prayer, fellowship and deepening friendships. At St James we see them as a key part of our church life. Through them we support and encourage one another in our lives as Christians.

The groups meet on different days and at different times. Some meet in person, whilst others meet online (but often gather for a coffee once a month).

To find out more and to join a group, please contact the church office:

office@stjameschurch.org.au and we’ll get in touch with you.

Youth Ministry

At St James we have a dedicated team of youth leaders who offer a variety of opportunities for young people to engage:

JPod on Friday – every Friday in term-time at 7pm in our Parish Centre

JPod on Sunday – every Sunday in term-time at our 10:30am Service

Connect 4 – JPod meets up with 3 other local youth groups for one-off gatherings, fun nights and discipleship days.

Camp – the 4 youth groups meet up once a year to share a camp together. Always great fun and packed with memories.

Children and Families Ministry

At St James there are various opportunities for children and families to connect with us:

‘Kids Church’ every Sunday in term-time during the 10:30am Service for Primary age children. Bible stories, craft and fun with our friendly team of leaders!

‘Mainly Music’ every Friday in term-time at 10am. Singing and movement, followed by morning tea for children, parents and carers. A time for pre-schoolers to have fun, meet other children and for parents and carers to make new friends.

‘Saturday Specials’ – kids movies, games afternoons, picnics and BBQs. Lots of fun for the family! (check website for upcoming events)
